MORNING FLOW: Carrying the Wild into Autumn

A reflection on summer’s wild gatherings and an invitation to ground with us this autumn.

On a late August evening, dusk begins to settle over a valley in Wales. Framed by waterfalls and with a river flowing through its heart, the valley is undoubtedly breathtaking. From the top of the ridge, you might see what looks like a quiet, unassuming gathering of people.

Yet as you draw closer, the scene transforms. You would hear the steady beating of drums echoing through the trees, the rhythm of dancing feet hitting the ground, the laughter of children weaving in and out of the camp, and the joyful cheers of everyone present celebrating life, celebrating each other, and honouring the wildest parts of our nature. It was not just a festival, but a reminder of something profoundly important.

This four-day gathering in the valley reminded me of a truth that is easy to forget in the pace of modern life: that when we come together in this way, something ancient awakens. We may live in houses, in cities, in nations, and call this our “life,” but there is a wild and primal part of us that only comes online when we walk barefoot on the earth, bathe in rivers, and sit close enough to feel the warmth of a neighbour’s body beside us. In these moments, we feel a little more alive. We see that this isn’t just a “nice” thing to do it's necessary.

Of course, we can’t spend every day gathered around the fire sharing stories think of the trees! but what we can do is create space for small moments, little pockets in our everyday lives, where we let this wild part come out to play. That could mean walking barefoot in the park, swimming naked in the sea, climbing a tree, or dancing like crazy (which, incidentally, ecstatic dance is great for...). Each of these moments reconnects us to that untamed part of ourselves and brings us back to the simplicity of being human.

So one of my lessons from the summer, as we move slowly into the calmer waves of the autumn season, is to nurture that part. The same part that likes to laugh, play, and be free like a child, yet also carries the ancient wisdom of generations. To honour it is to honour both where we come from and who we are becoming.

Our Next Event: 7th Sep - 'MORNING FLOW'

'MORNING FLOW' - our very first morning event - is coming up on September 7th. Taking inspiration from the time spent in the wild, and the grounding qualities of Virgo season, this gathering is centred on the element of Earth. Featuring a dynamic yoga flow and a restorative sound bath led by Mati (@mati.liaz), we are beginning the season both strong and grounded.

In the yoga flow, breath, movement, and music will merge into a continuous, creative rhythm designed to cultivate awareness, presence, and grounding. This mindful practice offers a chance to reconnect with yourself through conscious movement and deep, intentional breathing. The warm-up, guided by Yasmin, will invite us to explore the connection between body and ground, to draw strength and support from the Earth in all its forms, and to play with embodying Earth’s qualities grounded, stable, and trustworthy.

The session will close with a deeply soothing sound bath, where the gentle vibrations of Tibetan bowls, chimes, and other ancestral instruments will calm the nervous system, soften the heart, and anchor you into a state of deep rest.

If this awakens something inside you, come join us. Check out our Eventbrite page to get your ticket.

You can also join our community on Instagram, where we post more news, inspiration and updates.

See you on the dance-floor 💜

With love,
